alright since i have some spare time left before i go out, i shall blog :D seeing how i havent been blogging...
the past weekend was a busy busy weekend.... all filled up by the competition. 3 straight days of competition proves to be a very tiring, and mind exhausting matter LOL! anws because they wanted to test the YOG event, so they held a competition to test run the system and timing and all those.
first day of competition(fri) was the qualifying round, pretty much the same as normal competitions, just shoot 2 rounds of 70m. then can go home liao hahaha.
then second day(sat), the guys had iko(individual knock out), but because we girls didn't have enough people, all girls straight away advance to sunday :D then had team knock out, teamed up with jordan, which was a pure coincidence. cause its suppose to be like 1st ranking boy team up with the last ranking girl. then team up all the way till the girls finish, then they have to team up boy boy( we call them the gay groups ) :D hahahahaha we only had 8 girls, jordan was ranked 4th, then i was ranked 5th which is 4th last, so we got teamed up together. but then for the team event, i shot like shit, seriously chui until cannot chui anymore. then in the end we lost ><
3rd day(sun), had iko and tko, but as we lost tko, only had iko left. the iko matches were exciting ! hahahaha. cause we had to follow the YOG format, so iko and tko matches were all pair by pair. omg damn scary can. cause it will only be the 2 of u shooting, then everyone else will be watching u shoot. and the moment ur arrow hits the board, ur score will be announced out loud over the pa system, and shown on the big and small monitor.... that was one of the reasons why i shot till so badly for tko, too nervous already. was shaking all the way for the match, so couldn't shoot properly. then for iko, went all the way to the bronze medal match, and won the match :D but it was with much agony LOL.
cause they adopted the new format, so instead of the normal, just add up all the scores and see who win who lose. this new format counts by ends, (in layman terms 1 round). so every end is a new beginning, and if u win that end u get 2 points, if u lose u get nothing. if its a tie, then each archer is awarded 1 point. the person who reaches 6 points first will win. there is a total of 5 matches, but if u reach 6 points first then don need to shoot liao. but then for my bronze medal match. we shot all the way till all 5 matches, and no one got 6 points yet, cause i won 2 rounds, my opponent won 2 rounds, and we tied for 1 round. so we each got 5 points each. then we had to shoot a tie breaker. my opponent shot first, and got a 8 points. then i shot next n i got a 9. when they announced the 9, i was totally shocked, seriously... so i won the game by 1 point :D the feeling was like whao !
k then after my match ended, i became a supporter hahaha. being a supporter is so much more fun and less agonizing LOL!
k no more time liao, got to go lol. to round up, it was an exciting competition, though it was torturous, but nice. and sp well done ! everyone shot well ! hahahaha next up NUS indoor ! which is only like this coming weekend -.-
