k back from egypt :D shall blog about my trip, shall try to blog about it in detail, but i don have much photos yet. have to wait till my frens send over the photos, cause most of the time, i am just too lazy to bring out my camera haha.

all packed n ready to leave for cairo :Dthis is wat the range looks like in cairo, the whole range is in a video, it takes a bit too long to be uploaded here. but the range is good :D the place where i spent most of my time at, luckily its so nice :D

well basically, life there is waking up at around 8, then prepare for breakfast. then training starts at around 9.30 till 12.30, then its lunch break. and break till 3 or 4 cause its just too hot to shoot. then after that its shooting till about 7, or sun down.

the archers, only got 2 girls lol. from left, fauzi(algeria), rashid(moroco), khaula (moroco), me, yasin(algeria), and morad(moroco).

us with coach mun. great coach and super nice person :D he used to coach in malaysia, and i think he must miss the food here in asia, cause he keeps talking to me about it hahaha. talking about how good the kuay teow, dim sum, nasi goreng and blah is. he speaks malay too LOL! but he doesnt speak arabic hahahaha, says its just too difficult to learn. so when he uses english to try to communicate with the rest of the archers, when they don really understand english. its kinda funny lol. in the end they need translator haha.

the clown fauzi haha, going to take a picture already then he had to sneeze at that time. he said that if he was fluent in english, i would be laughing 24 hours LOL! think its true, cause he hardly speaks any english and i am already laughing most of the time.

we met with a egyptian competition during our training there, so coach asked us to participate in it for experience so thats wat we did. this is the kids shooting. some of them are really small hahaha, even their bows are way much taller than them.

us competing at the competition
the day i wore the sib jum shirt was the day that coach took a lot of photos lol, cause in the cd of photos he sent me. like 90% of it was me in the sib jum shirt. he must be really fascinated by my shirt, cause its korean, n he is korean hahahhaa. the moment he saw me with that shirt, he was like O.o korean? u understand wat it means? then i went of course la coach, its 10 points. then he was like so ur club is called sib jum archery club? then i went yupp. then he was so amazed LOL!
me with fauzi and yasin. 2 great guys :D even though their english is not so good, and we had to use a english-french dictionary to communicate most of the time. cause most of the time they just can't find the words that they wanna say, so they had to look for the word in the dictionary. but we still had a great time together.
this picture was taken when the 4 of us plus my mum went out shopping. yasin was practically our translator, cause we don speak arabic, so does fauzi haha he doesnt speak egpytian arabic. so yasin was like watever u wanna buy tell me first then i go n ask them. cause seriously, in egpyt prices for foreigners are locals are totally different. it can be more expensive by at least x3.
at breakfast, but without khuala, she was sick that day. speaking about breakfast, reminds me of the food. gosh, i am soooo thankful that i am living in an multi-racial country, where there is a wide variety of food. cause in cairo, i admit, the first few days, i tot that the food was good. but on to the 3rd day..... the food just got soooo boring. cause its all about the same. if its not chicken then its fish, or else its sandwiches.... and breakfast its always the same thing. but one thing i must say, their mango juice is awesome ! :D
this is the day we went to tour, outside the egyptian museum. locals pay 6 egyptian pounds to get in, foreigners pay 60 -.- wth rite. but the museum was totally boring for me lol. all i saw was statues and mummy coffin's, and i only saw one mummy. no photos allowed in there so no photos of anything inside.
group photo taken outside the museum, without yasin, he went before already so he didnt want to go. now i know why LOL! next to fauzi is 2 algerian archers that joined us later on, like on thurs, came, shoot for half a day, then next day go touring already lol. think in total they shot for only 2 days? they got delayed cause of the volcanic eruption so they could fly.
at the pyramids.
picture with khuala. at first, we didn't speak to each other at all, cause she said she doesn't speak english. but as the days passed. we still managed to become frens, and she does speak english lol although just minimum. but enough to communicate haha.

the 2 jokers of the group haha, fauzi and rashid. rashid, he doesnt speak much english too. so he keeps trying to teach me arabic. haha. but most of the time he just asks me to repeat arabic words after him, without explaining to me what it means, so i have to look at khaula for the meaning of those words. makes me feel like a kindergartener LOL. coach calls him tough guy haha, cause he is always acting all so tough. even when shaking hands hahahaha
on the whole, it was a very enjoyable experience there in cairo, cause of the people that made the whole trip so enjoyable :D
but the touring was bleh, it was super hot. in the end i got heat stroke, plus motion sickness. n in the end when we went back for lunch, i ko-ed. vomitted 3 times, and got a fever after that. then i spent the last 1 1/2 days of cairo lying in bed -.- missed the last day of training too.... regretful.
but when i was sick everyone came to visit haha. even coach LOL! he still say wanted to bring us out to eat chinese food yesterday de. cause after the tour yesterday, we were suppose to go out again in the evening to go see their bazzare. but i got ko-ed n didnt know my coach came down to bring the group of us out. so while the rest went out, i slept in my room -.-
leaving cairo : once again coach came to send us off :D n he really stood there to wave goodbye till our car went out of sight.
then had to transit at dubai. luckily only. cause the flight from cairo to dubai was just horrendous. think its the pilot ba, cause after the dubai transit and they changed pilots, it was much better. but the plane was old by itself already. cause at take off at cairo, i could see the whole plane shaking like nobody's business. and throughout the whole flight, the plane was in constant trubulence. i was seriously worried that the plane would fall apart mid air or something like that lol.
then after that flying from dubai to singapore, the plane wasn't as packed, there was an empty row in front, so my mum went to the front, and the both of us got 3 seats to ourself. and i stretched out and slept for most of the trip :D oh i wanna thank my music, it totally saved me, 7 hours flight from dubai, total 10 from cairo plus 1 hr transit and the kris world was so old and sucky there wasn't anything nice to do, tot i was going to be bored to death.
landed in terminal 3 in changi airport, first time actually landing there. and boy is the airport huge. the moment we stepped out of the plane into the airport, we saw signs that state shuttle to arrival, shuttle to transit. apparently the airport was soooo big that they had sky trains to take you to the arrival hall. but pity that we didnt know wat it means, so we ended up taking the elevator the whole way, and boy was it far haha.
started missing the food in singapore so badly, that i asked my dad to get porridge for breakfast for me :D totally miss the food here. then after breakfast, i crashed till 3. hahahaha just nice 10 am in cairo.
k done blogging about my trip there. ciaos
